FIRST HALFTHE ENGINEER

Behind the build.
Beyond the first try.

I’m Aayush, a Computer Science student at VIT. I work with Java, secure APIs, and developer tools—turning complicated requirements into systems I can reason about, test, and improve.

The mindset behind the work.

SCROLL TO FOLLOW THE PLAY

BUILD FROM THE BACK

Build.

Start with a system that holds.

Java, APIs, and data models. The foundations that let the next move happen with confidence.

ACCUMET / JAVA + POSTGRESQL / 300+ METERS

READ THE GAME

Read.

Context before the next move.

Waymark brings project memory, deterministic rules, and explicit approval to AI-assisted development.

WAYMARK / 24 COMMANDS / 420 JUNIT TESTS

PLAY THE LONG GAME

Repeat.

Keep improving after the whistle.

From music discovery to guarded changes and evidence-led agreements, each build is a chance to make the next one more considered.

SECOND HALFSELECTED WORK

A few things
I’ve put into the world.

Selected builds / 2026
Selected projects

MUSIC & CULTURE JAN — MAY 2026

A place for the music.
A system for discovery.

A full-stack music platform connecting artists, tracks, and the people who listen. Built around discovery, with games and community features that make exploration part of the experience.

Java · Spring Boot · React · TypeScript · SQL · Docker

The listening room Interactive map

Last.fm and iTunes power exploration.

61API endpoints
75artists cleaned

Last.fm and iTunes integrations bring artist and release data into one platform.

Spring Security and JWT protect authenticated features. Guess the Song, quizzes, leaderboards, and achievements add a playful layer.

Data cleanup removed 93 tracks and 102 releases, then restored 111 records across 75 artists.

DEVELOPER TOOLS MAY — AUG 2026

Keep the context.
Guard the change.

A VS Code extension and Java backend for AI-assisted development with project memory, deterministic rules, and explicit approval before changes are applied.

Java 17 · Spring Boot · TypeScript · NVIDIA NIM · pgvector

Waymark / Guardian

Explore the flow Choose a step

Project memory and retrieval supply relevant context, including the rules and architecture decisions that should guide a change.

CONTEXT → VERIFY → APPROVE
24VS Code commands
420JUnit tests

Guardian checks proposed work against project rules and architecture decisions. RAG supplies relevant project context.

Bounded Git access, SHA-256 approval checks, and stale-state rechecks constrain when an edit can proceed.

160+ extension tests, 23 backend endpoints, and 12 database migrations support the implementation.

SECURE SYSTEMS AUG — SEP 2026

Trust needs evidence.
And a clear boundary.

A Phase 1 foundation for agreements built around evidence, approvals, and an audit trail. The focus is an explicit, fail-closed contract between each part of the system.

Next.js · NestJS · FastAPI · PostgreSQL · Redis · BullMQ

Pact / Foundation

Evidence is represented in the Phase 1 schema. Unknown AI evidence is rejected instead of being treated as a valid source.

PAYMENT EXECUTION: DISABLED / 403
16database tables
20tests in CI

Schema and services cover evidence, approvals, audit records, and payment webhooks.

Fail-closed authentication and Zod validation reject invalid inputs and unknown AI evidence.

Payment execution remains disabled with HTTP 403. Phase 2 integrations are planned; this is the foundation, not a live payment product.

THE TRAINING GROUNDHALFTIME

Think on your feet.

Take an optional halftime break: read an algorithm, spot a bug, or build a system formation. Your discoveries earn trophies.
